Because Audrey asked...

As mentioned in the last post, I had straight hair this weekend. Audrey asked for pics. Of course, unless you know me in my generally curly haired state, this photo means nothing. Note the map of New England on the wall behind me - that's there because no one in this freaking state can name the New England states. How hard can it be people?! We're the effing cradle of the American Revolution! New York is not part of New England! Doesn't anyone know "Even old New York was once New Amsterdam?" See, not New England! And Delaware is nowhere near New England! Just because it is a small state, does not make it part of our club!

One other thing I would like to note. This was taken in my office. Photo one below is my desk. Photo two is my officemate's desk. Apparently I am much more of a "nester" than him...

Looks good! Too bad it takes so much work. Hey wait, why were you in the office on a snowy weekend?

And I totally named off the six New England states! I just was unsure how many there were and proceeded onto New York. You can't really blame me. It's better than saying Delaware!

Something is wrong with your officemate.

I'm glad Audrey asked!

(And I'm Canadian. Technically I'm exempt from the New England states question. But I think I can get 'em all!)

LOL--I think your officemate is looking for a new job.

I like the straight hair look!

Non-nester dude is freakin' me out. I think you should sneak over there and nest him. People who can work in blank space like that are creepy.

Nice hair... but me thinks the curls do you better. :)

Oohhh. I liked your desk a lot more. Way back when, in the restaurant I worked in me 'n the other cooks a dishwasher from England to name the 50 states. (I think we were going to give him a Champagne of Bottled Beer if he could get them all.) He got 37 or so alright, but then the results got pretty hilarious. Come to think of it, I think the Miller Stands Clear challenge would be safe for about 98% of Amuricans these days.

I don't think there's anything horribly wrong with having a fairly empty workspace. My office currently is open-plan, so I don't even have walls to hang stuff on... and that winds up being OK, in fact, great for the kind of work I'm doing right now.

Wow. While writing this comment I realized I have a lot to say about office seating plans and how it relates to work-life. This is obviously not a good place to post a multi-page discussion on the topic, so I'll probably blog about it myself.

(Weird, your blog fell out of my reader...was trying to figure out why it was so quiet)...anyways...

Your desk is awesome - the more stuff the better! Plus all the photos rock!

Yeah, so I'm kinda embarressed to be one of those idiots you were describing. I guess I never really paid all that much of attention during history class. Frankly, I had to look at a map recently to see where Kanasas is. And I live in Chicago.

Wow. I just said to much, huh?
