Not a marathon virgin anymore
There will be a full race report tomorrow or Tuesday, but for the time being, just wanted to let everyone know I finished my first marathon today. It was hot as shit, but a really excellent experience. As I said, race report to follow, but thanks to everyone for the good vibes and well wishes. The support meant a lot and definitely helped me through.

When you marathon promiscuously, you marathon not just with all the other people in that particular marathon, but with all the people they've marathoned with in the past. And some of them have marathoned with some pretty questionable types.

Go ahead. Post all of the ugly details. It's your reputation. Now you'll get a lot of phone calls asking you "Run with me." But no one's gonna wanna marry you. Is that really the kind of popularity you want?

And of course to Joe - for a hard race run well. It wasn't just hot out there - it was balls hot, which is a WHOLE different catagory. I hope you still have that medal around your neck!
i expect you to be "that guy" in the airport tomorrow wearing your medal :) i saw a whole bunch of 'em today.
