I'm famous!

Apparently April and Amy over at Twenty Six Point Two thought I was cool enough to name me their weekly pace setter. No one tell them the truth or they may take it down. In the meantime, check it out if you're interested in learning more about me than you probably wanted to know...

Loved your quote for pace setter of the week.

Good luck in Chicago, only 16 days away. Lil and I will be there, (Lil's first marathon as well).

Man, good luck with your first marathon! Your interview really captured the essential masochism of committed runners. It had it all: I hated running as a kid ... my favorite race is one I recently described largely in terms of how much pain it cause my knee ... I hate it when packs of chattering runners get in the way and won't move ... Running's better than dying of cancer!

To sum up, I run because I enjoy it.

That sounds to me like a runner with the correct attitude to make it through a Windy City marathon!

God help you and all the rest of us masochists!

big: maybe i'll see you all there, amidst the other 44,997 runners. :)

jenny: thanks!

glaven: yeah, that pretty much sums it up. i figured rather than pretending to be shiny and chipper, i may as well just be honest. i'm totally a masochist. i enjoy it because it's hard, because it hurts.
