K, new thread...
Ok, time to talk about new things. What upcoming races are on the schedule for everyone? I have a 5k in about 2 weeks, and a 10 miler in October. I'm also looking at a half marathon in November; I'll post more about that when I figure out if I'm going to actually do it. So what are you all running?

I've gotta run a 10k and a half marathon (or really anything between 15k and 25k would do) sometime between next week (I should be in good enough shape to have a remote shot at my goal soon) and a few months from now (which is probably about as long as I can maintain this level of conditioning). Haven't chosen the races yet.
AAH I just was looking at races and the Big Sur half marathon is coming up in late October. But they're charging $73 for it. It's supposed to be a great race, but that's more than 3 times what I've ever spent for an individual race. Plus I'd have to drive a few hours morning-of-race. But it's in Monterey! And there are enough runners (5,000) that there will definitely be a bunch of people finishing near me. The decision is hurting my brain.
I have heard the Big Sur half is really nice... do it do it do it!
