It's here!

My new bike arrived. I went and picked it up today. I haven't had an opportunity to take a real ride yet, though maybe I will get a chance tomorrow.

I can't wait until the first time I forget to unclip from the pedals and bail. I suspect it will be soon.

I'll think of you enviously when I walk my broken assbike to the repair shop today!

How about I promise to post a funny story the first time i bite it when I can't unclip from my pedals in time? Will that make things better?

What is the benefit of pedal clips anyway? Do they help you ride better/faster? I don't have 'em (and I have a pretty nice bike), am I missing something?

I really don't know anything about cycling... I'm totally going to get made fun of when I find Santa Clara's triathlon club...

The main benefit of clipping your feet into your pedals (in clipless pedals? this confuses me so) is that you get to pull up with your leg on the upstroke so you can get more out of each revolution and theoretically go faster...

And Al, I demand some form of race report from Big Sur. At least a time or something! You can't have your half marathon cherry popped and not mention it!
